liverandom asked: Thank you for so much! My parents have said no to contacts, but they agreed to the wig. My sister is letting me use a petticoat from one of her lolita dresses. Are there any other suggestions you have for either my friend or me? Every little bit helps make the cosplay better! (I'm trying to keep costs as low as possible this year because I spent around $180 or something on my Black Butler...

liverandom asked: Hi, I really like your blog and I wanted some advice. My friend and I are doing our first Hetalia cosplay this year. I'm going to be Belarus and she is going to be Liechtenstein. I would any advice you can give me; I'm a stickler for details of my own costumes. I have hazel eyes & I'm not sure how my parents feel about contacts, but should I try to get them? And what color...

Anonymous asked: Hi there - your blog is fantastic! I have a few questions. We will be doing the chibitalies for the first time and were wondering 1. Makeup - we want it to be cute but are concerned with being too feminine. 2. When it comes to prestyled/styling wigs yourself, do you think one is better than the other? and 3. I will be doing Chibitalia and have light eyes. I'm sort of on the fence about brown...

Cosplay Tip #6
Remember the little things! When you’re cosplaying a male character it always looks nicer if you remember to take off any nail polish and trim your nails (It can be a bit distracting in photos) Take out any piercings that don’t pertain to the character Also, quick tips for better convention photos: Be sure to set aside any bags you’re carrying unless they pertain to the...

Cosplay Tip #5
Alrighty folks! The mods here have been seeing a lot of people cosplaying female characters (and some male i.e. the young Italy brothers) in their dresses without a petticoat. This can make a nice dress look a little dull and lifeless. Using petticoats really adds a nice poof and shape to a dress! It’d be a bit hard to achieve her Children’s Day poof without a petti! As for hoop...

kolmoi asked: hello! I'm cosplaying Finland for an upcoming coin. I've cosplayed at a previous convention. However, my only problem is the waist-belt! Mine is pretty bad. >3> Any suggestions?

woxihuanchirenrou asked: I'm going to be cosplaying as Japan. I'm wondering whether or not I should wear makeup. I am Asian and I look rather Japanese (even though I am Chinese!), and I don't feel comfortable wearing makeup (things like not being able to touch it up later in the day, I don't wear it on a regular basis so I'm not good at this stuff), but I see that in most cosplays, the cosplayer...

Anonymous asked: I'm curious as to what kind of impact you guys consider a cosplayer's body type to have on the quality of their cosplay. Every picture you've posted features a fairly thin cosplayers, so am I correct in assuming a larger model automatically makes a cosplay not as "good" as it could be were they more slender?

@Stitchez
Alrighty! Here’s some lace front info! (We hope this helps c: ) Lace front wigs are just wigs that are meant to give you a natural looking hairline that other wigs can’t There are nicely priced lace fronts over at Arda Wigs but they require styling. If you’d like to find a tutorial on how to curl wigs, there is a video under ‘cosplay tips’ on how to do so. For...

So both Mod 1 and I have been dicking around about making this post, but I’m tired and I’m going to do it. We don’t like self-posts. You could be the most amazing Hetalia cosplayer to walk on the shores of this earth. You could have every last detail correct. But if we can tell you submitted yourself, then it’s a no-go. It’s a personal thing probably, but to us, it...

imprudentstitchez asked: Ah yeah I had meant 24, oops. It's so hard to tell the colors on that site too because of the bad quality resizes. I'm very much leaning towards the first one (five wits) now though. As for lace front, do you know where I could find one/have links/ know how I would add a lace front if I bought, say the fivewits? I actually know very little (read: nothing) about lace fronts so Im not sure...

Again, thank you so much! As a note I’m going for the more blonde as opposed to silver for Ukraine and a more natural blonde for France as well (my current wig is very yellow and I dislike it a lot). If you have different suggestions I’d love to hear them!  Ukraine: 1 2 3 France: 1 2* 3 *for france 2nd option I’m thinking maybe color 25bt18? We feel that the first wig...

imprudentstitchez asked: I have a few options for a new France wig and new Ukraine wig but I'm totally stuck! And my friends are tied on my top choices as well. If I submitted a few links to you do you think you could give me your opinion on which would be best?
